Is this class for beginners?
Yes! These classes are designed specifically for Spanish-speaking students who are learning English. We offer support for beginner and early intermediate learners, focusing on building confidence and practical communication skills.
Does my child need to speak any English already?
No prior English is required for beginner-level classes. Students will be supported with clear instruction, visuals, and when needed, brief explanations in Spanish to help them understand and feel comfortable.
What ages and grade levels do you teach?
Classes are designed for students in grades 3–6 (typically ages 8–12). All lessons are age-appropriate and tailored to the academic needs of upper elementary learners.
How many students are in each class?
Classes are intentionally kept small, usually between 4–6 students. This allows for plenty of speaking practice, individualized attention, and a supportive learning environment.
What if my child is shy?
That’s completely okay! Many students feel shy at first. I create a warm, encouraging environment where students can participate at their own pace. Over time, most students naturally gain confidence and begin speaking more.
What if we miss a class?
If you miss a class, I can provide a brief summary of what was covered and suggestions for practice at home. While live participation is the most valuable, students can still stay on track.
Are classes taught in English or Spanish?
Classes are primarily taught in English to maximize learning. However, Spanish may be used strategically to clarify instructions or support understanding when needed.
